Le Pavillon Hotel Restaurant

Only spend the night there if you have to, because you have no other place to stay. Run away the next day! The hotel looks inviting and interesting only from the outside. The rooms are old and not renovated. The owner has no idea how to serve the guests to compensate for these shortcomings. There is no water in the rooms, no kettle, not even a glass, not to mention coffee or tea. For this price it is a disaster. The only good thing is the location right next to the market square.

OMG!!! Worsed experience ever in this hotel restaurant called Le Pavillon in Echternach. We have been there hoping to eat mussels also called "Moules" in French and we were shocked by the treatment we have received of a waiter who apparently is the owner of that hotel restaurant. So as we sat in one of their tables in the terrace the waiter came to our table took away one menu card and we had been given 2 menu cards initially on our arrival and than he left us with only 1 menu card to share for two people! Very disrespectful, unprofessional and poor customer service to treat customers in such a disgraceful manner! Worsed of all that waiter took our menu card and gave it to clients sitting at another table and told us that we could share the menu card. So after that I got up from my seat, approached the waiter and told him that I would kindly request the menu card back as we were two of us and than the waiter just insulted me in front of other hotel guests by screaming at me and telling me off. Hence we could not accept this treatment against us and we just left the hotel restaurant and refused to eat in such a place. Also as I had been in that hotel restaurant previously, I can tell that the food is really not good at all, overpriced and very bad customer service. Never again!

This hotel lies at the heart of Echternach, so you have everything nearby. It has a correct price for what it offers. The breakfast can have a little upgrade, for example bacon or fried eggs. Friendly personnel, very attentive too. Parking lots are nearby 300-400m. So three stars because you will find what you need, but compared to other hotels we already visited, they provide a bit more (eg. Variation breakfast or more choice).
