Les Ramiers gite - maison d'hotes

The location is great if you're coming to Fontromeu to ski; the slopes are just a 10-minute drive away. The service was excellent, and the couple who run it were very friendly. We didn't even bring towels, and they provided some (you must bring towels and slippers). The hot water in the bathroom works perfectly. They have very secure private parking within the complex. You can store your skis and boots inside because they have a ski storage room. Things to improve: the mattresses are very soft and small, the pillows are very hard and aren't really pillows, they're cushions. There's heating in the room via one radiator, but it's a bit cold. And what disappointed us most was the "French" breakfast, which only includes sweet items (bread, jams, cereals, and milk). Despite other guests having previously requested ham, cheese, or eggs, these options are not available at all, nor do they seem inclined to make an effort to provide them. Therefore, we had to go somewhere else for breakfast even though breakfast was included.

Lovely, quiet, well-appointed house. A bit outside of Font Romeu. It feels like home. The room was a little small, but we knew that, very functional with a great view. Excellent fresh bread at breakfast. As someone who isn't particularly fond of the mountains, I've been won over.

A very warm welcome in a magnificent gîte. We were coming from the GR10, and after a few bivouacs, it was an enchanting interlude. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Warm welcome. Nice breakfast. And the owner was also kind enough to drive us to the yellow train station! Highly recommended.
