The Plough B&B

An unpleasant stay in what was a beautiful location. The hospitality is absolutely absent from this place. The house and the rooms are just okay, very expensive for what you are actually getting. But what makes the place unacceptable is the negative, stern and rude host. This was my first time being threatened by the host of a B&B - a truly sad state of affairs. I don't take pleasure in writing disappointing reviews but they serve an important purpose for future travellers. Ventry Beach and Quinn's Pub are lovely, but this B&B is not.

Very clean and nice house but the attitude from the owner was so poor. Condescending, passive aggressive and unwelcoming. It felt like we were imposing & unwelcome. Poor communication, email & texts not responded to. Had bikes, it was a problem, my bike was moved and damaged but claimed it wasn’t. Bizarre Behaviour. Perhaps once they were enjoying owning and operating a bnb but maybe life has soured them. Very strange stay & wouldn’t recommend

Host's are great example of how to run B&B very friendly and helpful. Amaizng views from the room, and realy cozy patio area, you can tell they put alot of efort to keep their front garden in top class
