The place is located in a wonderful area surrounded by mountains and nature. The house has themed rooms that are very well decorated and cared for with great detail. The service, rooms, and food met all of our expectations. In addition, the staff provided us with personalized attention, catering to our needs in a very warm manner. Fully recommended!

EDIT (Update following ECC mediation): I contacted the European Consumer Centre (ECC Belgium) to seek an amicable resolution. Following several months of mediation, the retreat organization reiterated that it denies liability for my flight expenses. As a “commercial gesture,” they offered to refund 50% of my flight costs, on the condition that I remove this Google review. I declined this offer. I believe that honest consumer feedback should not be conditional upon financial compensation, particularly when the booking decision was based on incorrect information published on the platform the organizer chose to use for advertising. This review remains a factual account of my experience. I share it so that future guests can make fully informed decisions Original review: I’m writing this review with genuine disappointment. I chose and booked a retreat because it was advertised as being held in English. After booking and making my flight arrangements, they told me from the center that the retreat was actually conducted entirely in German. This was a clear mistake in the listing. They acknowledged the issue, stating it was a problem on the platform. It took a week of chasing support from the yoga retreat platform to get my refund for the retreat but the retreat organizers refused to take responsibility for the consequences of their own incorrect advertising - which were my flight expenses. Yoga is rooted in truthfulness (satya), non-harming (ahimsa), and integrity. I expected the organization to honor these values. Instead, I was met with avoidance and unwillingness to make things right. This was not only inconvenient but emotionally upsetting. I hope they reflect on this and bring their actions into alignment with the principles they teach.

The AlpenRetreat was exactly what i needed . I have only done a small amount of yoga and hardly any meditation before and this was the first retreat i have been to so i was a little nervous before going in. I was on the 'Heart-Opening Meditation Retreat' run by Elly and Wolfgang were both utterly amazing, they were incredibly inspiring and I felt safe and supported the whole time. Whether you're new to this or have more experience, I would absolutely recommend this retreat. The setting was beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains—such a peaceful space for reflection and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The house itself felt like a welcoming home, with plenty of communal spaces to connect with others if you wanted to. I also have to mention the team supporting the retreat .. They all helped create a warm, supportive environment, and I genuinely feel like I’ve made some new friends that I’ll stay in touch with. I also have some tricky dietary requirements ( Gluten Free) and i was so impressed by the food—it was thoughtfully prepared with love and care, and it tasted fantastic. I truly can’t wait to return to this incredible place. Although it was just a few days, the retreat left me with practical techniques that I can—and will—implement in my everyday life. It’s amazing how taking just a moment and using that time mindfully with the right skills can make such a big difference. I’m really looking forward to the next course!
