Familienresort Buchau am Achensee

The hotel has everything one needs when having a relaxing holiday with kids. From a really lovely pool area with fun slides, a sauna area with plenty of options to a climing hall where kids and parents can climb by themselves after a short introduction course. We had a very nice room and also enjoyed the served dinner. The location is quite nice, unfortunately we had snow nearly all week long. Staff is generally very friendly! Some of the kids offers were great fun such as the mermaid/merman swimming. Some minor negative points include the extremely full kids ski courses (not offered by the hotel directly, but they do partner with them) with up to 15 kids per course and a lack of vegetarian options at the lunch buffet. We also would prefer if dinner were available till later, once we arrived shortly before 8pm and the salad buffet was already getting removed (I talked to the person removing it and we were still allowed to grab something). Also the sauna area closes at 9pm which is a pity...

We spent Christmas here as a family of 5 (3 small kids under 7) It’s such a convenient and well thought out hotel, with some of the best facilities we have experienced for families. They have thought of everything which adds to the stress free element. We couldn’t recommend this place enough if you enjoy skiing but have small kids. The Kinder Club was a highlight for our kids. They have a programme of changing activities daily and our 3, who are not used to kids clubs at all, all had fun every time they were in. The rooms are perfect for families, the facilities in and around the hotel keep the kids entertained and the food was pretty decent. Kids eat buffet and adults get served a 4 course menu for dinner. We would consider this hotel again in the future.

Our whole family had a great time at this hotel. The room was always clean and well kept, with daily housekeeping. We really enjoyed all the meals — everything was tasty. A special thanks to Mr.Sascha in the restaurant, who made every dinner enjoyable and always put a smile on our faces. We’ll definitely be back again!
