Pension Hönel-Hof Bad Schandau

Such a warm welcome to Bad Schandau, the man at the reception was friendly and cheerful as he checked us in and showed us around the property. There is a cute garden and ping-pong table, a building with a small living room and a drinks station with an honor-system piggy bank to pay for what you use. He gave us restaurant recommendations and suggested a reservation. For breakfast, we were offered different types of “brot” to choose from, very cute. Two things to note- there was no hand soap or shower soap in the room although there was dish soap in the kitchen. Also, you are quite close to the train line, so if you leave your windows open, you will hear them at night.

Great location and service. Stayed there for 10 days. Excellent breakfast and nice rooms. If you are a trainspotter you can sit in the garden with a cold beverage and watch the trains go by. Highly recommened pension.

Beautiful stay with Rhine River flowing near by, they provide bike's for renting and arrange all local boat tickets for whole region.
