Sleep quality: The bed is fabulously 2 x 2 meters and the mattress is ok comfortable, slightly on the hard side. Several pillows to choose between. It’s a shared duvet, but it is giant. The village is super quiet at night. Stay quality: It’s the most beautifully decorated 2-floored house, with the giant bathroom upstairs with the bedroom and reading/snack & beer corner – from here you will have the most amazing view of the mountains and the fields outside the village. Downstairs is the kitchen, well-equipped for cooking if you’d like, as well as room for drying muddy boots and the like. Location: This is the perfect village to stay in while exploring Parque Alcornocales, and opposed to other beautiful “pueblo blancos” this one is alive with real families living real lives here (not just tourists and expats) and there are two great restaurants and a fall back in case you didn’t get a table at the good ones. The village also has a very decent supermarket with everything you need as well as a couple of minor grocery shops. Parking: Theoretically you can park outside your window, but most likely the spot is already occupied or you don’t have the guts to park on a very steep, very narrow street for fear of car scratches, in which case there are several very large free public parking lots 400 metres downhill.

Words can't do it justice. I'm back from my trip and I'm still in love with the place 🥰 It's like a fairytale cottage. There's free parking right across the street. María is so attentive, kind, caring, and welcoming. She's truly a delightful person. She's always available and responds incredibly quickly. Without us even asking, she sent us suggestions for activities we could do. As for the cottage itself, it has everything you could possibly need. It has everything you could possibly want, even things that people usually leave behind (I've traveled a lot and always found something missing, but not in this house). It's spotless and everything is brand new (you can tell, for example, when the appliances, dishes, etc., are high quality). It was like a pre-honeymoon. I've recommended it to all my family and friends; it's a dream place. We stayed four days and three nights, and it felt far too short. If you're thinking of going, don't hesitate because it's a truly unique experience.

An extraordinary country cottage in the beautiful village of Jimena de la Frontera. We spent a weekend completely disconnecting as a couple in a house that lacked nothing. The decor and cleanliness were exquisite. Easy access and directions upon arrival. Perfect communication with the host. The Hammam bath experience was fantastic. I highly recommend staying here if you want to disconnect and relax in the surrounding area.
