We had such a wonderful time here! Angeline welcomed us warmly, prepared the most amazing food, and shared some interesting stories with us. The rooms are very nice and cozy, and the garden is a true wonder. We truly enjoyed every minute of it and hope to come back in the future.

As I drove up the valley to the Col Mantet on my way to the gite, the temperature dropped from 35'C to 26'C, a perfect welcome to this spectacular hiking base. The terrace faces south, with great views towards Spain. The rooms are perfect for a hiking holiday - comfortable and clean. The food, made by host Jean's mother Angeline, is sensational - eaten communally while people share their experiences of the mountains and plans for the days ahead. Dinner is a 3-course feast; when I was there starters were a fresh tomato and onion doux salad and a soup, main courses a chicken stew or a white aubergine lasagne, desserts the most excellent cake with caramel sauce. Jean has excellent local knowledge - and they can also arrange a local guide if required. Highly recommended.....

wow! super nice house with a garden and a terrace with mountain view. Jean and his family were super nice and welcoming. The food was outstanding as well, probably the best in our trip. thanks again!
