Outstanding overnight stay, while completing our Via di San Francesco Camino into Roma. Beautiful building/decor full of family history. Spacious room (Athena). Comfortable bed. Fabulous breakfast. We appreciated the host's welcoming, humorous and 'no nonsense' style. The neighborhood is charming with lots of eating/drinking options. We were completely satisfied.

VERY far off the beaten path. We got ROBBED on the train ride back to our hotel and Valentina was no where to be found. Turns out she was celebrating her birthday and wanted nothing to do with our problems. Ignored our plight completely. Also, because her coffee maker wasn't working, she gave us a 4 Euro voucher to another place so we could have breakfast. It was NOT a good breakfast at all. HERS was good, but she pushed us off to another venue that was just horrible. We also went over the 4 Euro, so had to pay for our own breakfast as it turned out. Overall, not the best experience in not the best neighborhood. She could have been more helpful in our time of need. Instead, a good samaritan staying in the hotel went to the bank and got us 500 Euros and we paid him via Paypal. She offered NOTHING - not even help with the Caribinieri, who treated us like dirt.

A nice hotel where you can feel as comfortable as at your own home in Rome. It is perfect in terms of price and performance with its warm atmosphere and friendly staff. I definitely recommend 🌞
