MILLGATE HOUSE

This was a truly exceptional B&B experience. We spent one night in this glorious haven amidst beautiful furniture, paintings and ornaments and wish we could have stayed longer. It was exciting to see spring erupting in the beautiful gardens and to enjoy all the comforts of the perfectly cooked delicious breakfast (the home made marmalade was second to none). The bedroom and bathroom were spacious with beautiful views and the bed was large and luxurious, it could not have been more comfortable. We were delighted to meet Austin and Tim who were the most perfect hosts, helpful, knowledgeable and full of fun. We definitely hope to return.

If ever in Richmond England the only place to stay is the Millgate house. We have stayed there two times and we absolutely love it. The owners are wonderful and cater to whatever you need. The breakfasts are delicious, looking over one of the most unique gardens. It is a very special place.

A complete joy, faultless from dawn till dusk, from the bedroom to the dining room, from the home-made marmalade and other breakfast treats to an idyllic picnic in the most abundant garden, from swimming in the Swale to the hospitality of our hosts. We’ll be back!
