Hôtel de France and Restaurant

Excellent service, beautiful rooms, very clean hotel. View of church tower and mountains from our room. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The town has a deep history of fabrication of typewrites, cameras, record players, music boxes. The museums are very interesting. The hotel features displays of typewriters and absinthe made locally. The owners hosted an event while we were there featuring Automatons made in the area, with presentations. It was a delight to attend.

A large and quiet room (202) and a splendid view down the street and to the mountains (see photo). I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The food here is local and varied. For lunch today I had fish and vegetables, all beautifully presented and served with a smile.
