Porto Resort

Nothing was good except for the location and the garden. The bed was a single one, but they placed us there saying it was a double. If we were hobbits, we wouldn’t have complained. The room was so small that there wasn’t even enough space to open our suitcase comfortably. There was dust on the floor. We had to go to the reception to ask for a hairdryer — apparently, they don’t put one in the bathroom because it gets stolen; I guess they haven’t heard of the wall-mounted models. The chicken I had for dinner was quite mediocre — in fact, tasteless and had a stale smell. Luckily, there were some greens and sauce on the plate.

Don't be fooled by the photos and reviews. Seriously out dated and dangerous bathrooms. Large rooms, but layouts don't work unless you are 2 feet tall, having angled roofs above your head when sleeping, a mere 2 feet above you. Great location but that's it - very disappointing experience, one I won't repeat. 2 stars is based on lake views.

Fantastic place near Baltezers, White Lakes near Riga. Thatch roof and wooden walls. Quiet, nice. Morning swimming in the lake. Very good food. Highly recommended.
