The Sands

Super friendly hosts, great location, reasonable price. Very dog friendly with a pet fee of £7.50, which is cheaper than most. This is one of the main deciding factors for us as we have one pet dog and a service dog. The double room we stayed in was small but very cozy with a lovely view even though it faced the back of the place. In fact, out of all hotels I've stayed in in this area, this was my favourite room. Quaint, nicely decorated, made us feel at home. Lots of choice on the TV. There was a small but again, cozy, bar downstairs. We slept very well, it was exceptionally quiet and calm. We tend to get quite hot in hotels overnight, so being able to open the windows quite wide was a huge plus. Very satisfied with our stay and would like to stay again.

Just come back from a lovely 4 night stay @ The Sands for my birthday. Lovely view from our window of the sea & hosts were really friendly. Everywhere was so nice & clean & the breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for the day. Parking @ front & rear well managed so didn't get blocked in. Will be back next year.

Wonderful location.... excellent room with terrace, immaculately clean, beds comfortable, large with all you need for a lovely stay. Plenty of Coffee/tea, personal toiletries a real treat. Only negatives sadly , were parking was tricky ( I had messaged ahead to advise of mobility needs for a close space) and after a couple of issues this was resolved immediately by the proprietors whom we found great hosts, kind, friendly. Secondly, we had a poor/weak signal for TV in our room. This would not put us off staying again though....excellent value for money, we will be back.Many thanks to all at The Sands.
