Ellis Howe

We stayed at Ellis Howe for a few days earlier this year. This is a gorgeous little cottage, in a perfect location for a week in the Lakes. Just on the outside of a small hamlet there is a pub and a great restaurant within a minutes walk. The views of the Old Man of Coniston are spectacular - best seen over breakfast from the dining room. We are definitely going to go back, and highly recommend to anyone looking to see the Lakes while staying in a warm, cosy and picturesque cottage.

Wonderful homely ambience. Beautiful scenery and easy access to main villages Ambleside, Hawkshead, Bowness and Windermere. Coniston water ferry to Windermere.
