STAY HOTEL PORTO AEROPORTO

I stayed at the Stay hotel last night. My stay was OK. It’s conveniently located close to the airport. Heidi at the front desk was very friendly and the girls at the breakfast also very friendly. Due to a flight delay, I had to Make a reservation for one more night after making the reservation (an hour and a half after) I went to the airport and was able to manage rerouting my flight, call back the hotel and ask to cancel that reservation for tomorrow night just one hour and a half after making it. It was denied. I have been on a chat with a manager for about an hour and a half and they just let me out cold. Nobody’s answering me the only thing she said they have rules. I explain that I already stayed at their hotel paid out of pocket for the night for food. The new reservation I made was just in desperation since my flight was delayed for two more days, Expedia contact them and I did as well. They explain that they found me another flight and that I No longer Need the room. I explained my whole situation, but they made no effort to help me. I’m very disappointed, an experience that could make me feel uncomfortable and taking care of turned out to be a bed experience. I guess, making an extra $57 is more important then a good review and a satisfied guest.

Stayed one night since it was about 10-15 walk to the airport. Good clean hotel. Quiet. All the amenities including a mini balcony to get some fresh air. One thing I couldn’t work was the TV but they have working WiFi so no bother. Breakfast was continental nothing special for the price but cheaper than airport breakfast. The hotel is good but nothing around except the airport. A couple of restaurants sparsely located near by. Good for a night or so.

The staff at the reception were super-friendly and helpful upon arrival and when i checked back in with them. The lobby is open and minimalistic, the room i had was large and very clean. A small, complimentary bottle of water, tea and heater await the traveler. However - the numbering of the rooms on each floor is confusing and made me wonder.... "WHY?" (see image) Who sits down, designs a layout and goes: "well, those tired travelers - let's send them round in circles." ...made me wonder. Double room was large, bathroom integrated with glass. If you wants to watch your spouse take a dump, and enjoy the aftermath - this is the right place: no door between bath and bed. Maintenance could be better (see image) what the wifi? we barely had more than one bar INSIDE the room. And that bit of signal broke off every 5 - 10 minutes - forcing reconnection. Very retro Y2K style. The breakfast buffet was nice, with large windows to look at the car rental across the street. Will consider coming back
