Vila Preseren

The hotel was located on the lake with great views from the dining/outside seating area. A 5 minute walk from the bus station and 15minute walk to the castle. My room, a small double was lovely and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. If you sit outside, mind the birds as they are quick to try and steal your food!

Breakfast at Vila Prešeren was such a highlight. The food was genuinely amazing. Shiv ordered the waffle — it looked incredible, and he enjoyed every bite. What made the moment even better was that he walked up to the host all by himself and said, “Thank you very much for the great waffles,” completely unprompted by us. One of those small parenting moments you quietly file away. Mila ordered the American breakfast. She happily ate the sausages and not much else — very on brand. I ordered the English breakfast and polished it off in no time. My husband ordered the Slovenian breakfast and did exactly the same. We also ordered one of the sandwiches — which, as always, was perfection. A truly great place for breakfast: excellent food, warm service, and beautiful views over Lake Bled. One of those meals that sets the tone for the whole day.

Rooms for couples are typically small but very clean and comfortable enough. Service is great and the people are very careful and attentive. Breakfast is a highlight. The view into the Lake is amazing!!
