BNB Hotel Alpenrösli

Spent two nights here in mid August. Staff was fantastic! Even offered (which we declined) to cook us dinner when we arrived at 9pm, even though their kitchen was closed for the night. Our room had a great mountain view. Windows and door to balcony allowed for good air flow. Comfortable night sleep. Would have liked a larger shower, but seems to be the norm in Switzerland. We had a rental car and they were able to provide parking. Their lot is small. (maybe up to 10 cars can fit) This was not a problem during our stay but imagine that it could be in peak season. Location was as close as we could get with a last minute booking to our destination of Zermatt. Prices are higher then I'm comfortable spending for a night sleep but was in the median range for Switzerland. If visiting the area again we would return and recommend to others to stay here! Restaurant: Breakfast came with hotel stay. Typical options: yogurt, fruit, bread, meats, cheeses, etc. Dinner: We ordered the spaghetti with sausage meat sauce and a rosti. Food and price were on par with other restaurants we visited. Meals are made fresh.

I stayed there for a night in a lively clean room, with mountain views and a small porch. Perfect trail head for nearby hikes. The food was delicious - the traditional Swiss Raclette was so good. Every request i had, both in the restaurant and for my room, was answered with a smile

The location is beautiful, but our stay was quite uncomfortable 😣 The room had a very awkward smell as it wasn't aired properly. It was freezing cold everywhere in the BnB, including the breakfast hall. No soap / hand wash in the toilet. Dark hallways. Everything was dated, the sheets were cleaned but torn and stained. Coffee machine broken.
