REFUGIO DE LOS PINSAPOS

1 August 2025. The place is in a good condition. The room with a chimney is fine, the other room seems to be used as trash storage and there are mouses or rats making noises at night, which gives a clear understanding that it’s better to not leave any more piece of trash cause it’s a bad tendency. If you are alone, be prepared that these creatures (photo is attached) will stare at you all night😅

There are some kitchen items, a first-aid kit with strong painkillers and 70% rubbing alcohol, food in the pantry, a large table, a clothes rack, and a bread oven. One of the doors is painted with a work of art, hahaha. The road to Llanos del Libar is completely overgrown and becomes impassable.

We visited it in June 2025. It's a refuge with two rooms, a fireplace, and a cistern that collects rainwater (not potable?). Outside, the Spanish firs provide shade, and photos with the trees turn out beautifully. At night, the views of a magnificent starry sky are breathtaking! We must be responsible and take our trash with us; let's preserve our heritage.
