Casa del Alma

I went to that Guatemalan restaurant, this wad a very good surprise ! Food (Guatemalan specialties) is plenty and great, price is very reasonable, the setting modern and comfortable (sofas, plants everywhere, chill music...). Makes you feel you are in an exotic palace somewhere on a luxurious island. I was there with 4 other pilgrims, we were all more than pleased. And icing on the cake, the owner is really friendly. An overall pleasant experience.

A new gem Casa on the Camino Francés! We got lucky to find a bed in Mansilla de las Mulas and to discover this newly opened & renovated Casa. Wonderful hosts who made us feel at home. If you want to experience something different from your daily walk: Guatemalan cuisine! This is the place to get energized. Fresh and delicious foods: a little tortilla appetizer, with fresh mild flavors. Oh the tortilla soup with just a bit of hotness. A chicken dish with tomatillos purée. And finally a cheese cake with a nice light taste of strawberries. Thank you to the family and the team at Casa del Alma. We’ll be back to see you and what else is cooking! I was so happy to come across this wonderful Albergue. It is not yet on Booking.com, so you need to contact the owner, Jose via WhatsApp. He speaks English and Spanish. The family has worked really hard to create a thoughtful and comfortable experience on the Camino. The food and atmosphere are amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Such kind and caring people. You feel like part of their family.
