Premier Inn Seaton hotel

I stayed two nights here in January. The room was very much what you would expect from Premier Inn. It was unfortunate the noise from the lifts was so noticeable but I wore ear plugs to get to sleep. The staff were generally pleasant. It was necessary to make an appointment to have an evening meal in the restaurant. I was the only customer at the time I went in. The garlic and cheese pizzette was tasty but partially frozen the first night. My biggest gripe by far was the horribly loud Heart Radio playing in the restaurant and reception area. The songs were generally bratty American pop music and really annoying. Even worse, the chef had his own radio on too with a different station conflicting. The slogan on the wall said “Eat, drink, relax” but Heart Radio on full blast was not conducive to relaxation at all. In the morning there were shrink wrapped croissants instead of freshly baked ones which was disappointing. It is a good value hotel overall outside of peak demand periods, but I wish they would do something about that awful music! Even the Whitbread royalty-free tape is better than Heart!

Lovely location very close to the seafront. Our room was comfortable but unfortunately our room was not the cleanest, lots of cobwebs, and something questionable in the sink plug hole. Breakfast was great tasty with lots of options, although the wait on the second day for the cooked option was far too long at 45 minutes. The staff were however lovely and very helpful. We would stay again, and hopefully the room would be a bit cleaner.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in January. This hotel is one of the best Premier Inn's, the staff are very friendly and professional, making us feel welcome. Particular thanks to Tony and Reece with their running of the bar and restaurant in the evening. Good friendly banter. The meal deal was good value so, despite the awful weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
