A delightful pub hotel with really nice staff. Staying down here for a wedding. Arrived late but helpful staff had left a key out. The room was really nice and cosy, I felt like being on an old sailing ship. Great views over Plymouth Sound. The bed was really good - they had clearly invested in good mattresses (unlike the Hotel du Vin where we have recently stayed). Very good breakfast served in wood panelled bar - the on a ship feeling continues. And finally, very reasonably priced but recommend you book direct for a much better price.

Where do I start with this place . Literally stumbled across it whilst looking for a Campervan site and from the very first phone call to the owner Dan we felt welcomed and greeted with such kindness. The staff here are 1st class, the owners son (Kian) sorry if I spelt this wrong. Check in was easy with the staff so informative about the pub and the room. Kian Came to see us whilst having our meal and was so kind and freindly it was incredible. If only every pub/restaurant/hotel had this much attention to detail and customer service. The rooms are immaculate with fantastic views (we were in Rm1) . Its a perfect idyllic community pub/hotel with exceptional standards. The passenger foot Ferry across to Plymouth is literally outside the front door. I'm struggling to find more words to compliment this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was absolutely perfect. We loved the carvery. Only issue we had is they seated me, my wife and daughter around a tiny little table for two and we couldn’t fit our plates on it. Really strange. Otherwise it was a nice meat selection, roast potatoes perfectly done and veg was decent.
