Hotel Künstleralm

We popped in here on spec after visiting the glacier in the hope of finding some lunch. The location is beautiful, the service was polite and friendly and the food was delicious.

The hotel is not worth the money you pay. The food is a bit weak and does not surprise you with anything. Breakfast is the same every day and poor, just an omelette, some ham, a little cheese and some cut vegetables. The breakfast needs to be improved and could be more varied, with minimal costs and involvement from the owners. The dinner was rather average, it didn't excel at anything and it didn't surprise you either. This wasn't very varied either. The owners are a bit unfriendly and they don't seem to make an effort to make everything ok and a statisfied client. The rooms are small and outdated. The spa is ok, relatively new. The only advantage of the hotel is the location close to the glacier and the bus stop in front of it. Honestly, I don't think I would stay here again, if I came back to Kaprun.

Spent 3day ski trip with more than 30 colleagues. Rooms small, clean, not much place where to put and dry clothes. Breakfasts average, but not enough of everything during all breakfast time. As for dinners-freaky experience...what other to say on spending 2,5 hours from coming to dining room to finish with dessert...when all dinners were ordered already in the morning...never seen so flegmatic and inefficient service. Dinners presented as high level cooking, but in fact less than average.
