Bel Arrayo

My partner and I had such a beautiful stay at Bel Arrayo. We were in Toulouse and wanted to visit the Pyrenees, and I had a vision in my head of a comfortable but rustic bed and breakfast with mountain views and breakfast in the morning. When I searched on booking.com, everything that seemed remotely like what I was imagining was well out of my price range, but then I decided to try google I found Bel Arrayo. We stayed for three sweet, restful and beautiful nights. The bed and breakfast is just up the hill from the center of town, so there is a feeling of being a bit removed from the bustle (we were there in August which is peak summer tourist season), but still just a five minute walk from bars and restaurants and any amenities you would need. Our room was on the top floor of the building, and was incredibly spacious and clean, with views of the town and the surrounding mountains. A breakfast of fresh bread, yogurts, local jams, muesli and granola was waiting for us each morning. Laurent was a generous and gracious host, and gave us a wonderful hiking recommendation. We felt so comfortable spending time in the common areas in and outdoors, and got to play with kittens who were on the property! It's rare these days to find a place that truly feels like a labor of love. Bel Arrayo is an absolute gem and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this region of the Pyrenees.

A rejuvenating weekend at Bel Arrayo. We arrived as a family with our 3-year-old daughter. The room was meticulously prepared, with very comfortable bedding and a peaceful atmosphere. Upon waking, we enjoyed a beautiful view of the mountains and the village of Cauterets, and breakfast featured delicious organic products. Thank you, Laurent, for your warm welcome and friendliness. We will definitely return on our next trip to Cauterets; this is an address to remember.
