La Belle Epoque

Popped into the restaurant for a quick easy lunch. It was basic but ok for the price. Until paying the bill! The gentleman added up and gave me the receipt immediately before inputting a total with an additional €5 on my bill. Was it a mistake or are they scamming people who don't check?

Sorry no black stars to give this place. I stayed only one night (that was my luck) the owner ,manager, was very rude and with no intention of helping the client. I had no choice of hotel because it was booked through my insurance, (they decided this one probably because it was the cheapest they could find) If I had the possibility I would have walked out there and then. Top floor (4th) no lift, light on the stairs only working on some floors When I Asked the owner for a place where I could get some dinner and breakfast the next morning, because they don't do breakfast even if it's advertised on their website. (the hotel kitchen was closed) I was told: "just go down the street you'll find a place" Of course this place will always have unaware customers because of its position (Centro storico) But I doubt very much of many returning ones, because of the owner rudeness. I definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place. Part 2 Reply to the "response" from the owner. My room was on the attic, I could only stand in half of the room,(I could cope with that) the bathroom had no bidet, not the cleanest, and I could go on.... I didn't expect "the owner" to tell me to just go somewhere else considering that it has already been paid, with no refund. "Just go down the street and you'll find a place " isn't what you expect the owner of a business to say, when you ask for a place to have so e dinner. As for breakfast I was told you don't do breakfast. I was not expecting to get it for free. The property doesn't offer services if the owner decides that he doesn't like you. Not only very rude as seen on a lot of other reviews, also a fibber, with a very short memory.

I really loved the design, and the location is just amazing. You have the railway station close by and the ice cream shop if you want to go and get an ice cream. Unfortunately the food was a bit cold but the cake was ok. The room was nice even tho the TV was small it worked very well and it had good graphics. The service was ok not the best but ok. I have to say that the waiter in the dining room with curly hair was very nice. He was fast and very nice. I’m giving this hotel 3 stars even tho the location was nice, unfortunately the food was cold and the service wasn’t amazing. I hope my review helped for anyone who is searching a nice place to stay in Venice. And have a good day
