A historic place facing the mountains, the family home of the writer Dino Buzzati. It's a very pleasant place to stay, with a warm welcome from the owner and plenty of books and information. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

A truly magical place, partly because we're in a small 16th-century village with romantic 19th-century remodeling, immersed in a breathtaking landscape between the Piave River and the majestic Alpine peaks, and partly because everything here recalls the literary, artistic, and life work of Dino Buzzati, who was born here. The rooms are filled with memories and testimonies. Valentina, Dino's great-granddaughter, has many fascinating memories and testimonies. Warm and inviting wooden rooms welcome you... Highly recommended.

Villa Buzzati, a Venetian villa on the outskirts of Belluno, is the birthplace of Dino Buzzati, journalist, writer, and painter, who was born there in 1906 and found inspiration for many of his stories here. Villa Buzzati was built in 1532, but its current appearance reflects the transformations undertaken during the 19th century by the Buzzati family, who became its owners in 1811. The villa was enlarged and completely frescoed, with some interventions by the renowned painter Pompeo Molmenti, thus becoming a rare example of a Romantic villa. Today, visitors can discover Villa Buzzati through a fascinating tour of the entire 16th-century architectural complex, including a visit to the villa's exterior, the little red church of San Pellegrino, the granary, and the historic gardens. The visit is enriched by the story of Dino Buzzati and his relationship with these places. Today, part of Villa Buzzati is used as a bed and breakfast, open year-round, an ideal starting point for visiting the nearby cities of Belluno, Feltre, Treviso, and Venice, and for discovering other Venetian villas.
