Lärchenhof Camping - Lermoos Zugspitz Arena

It was perfect! We ended up staying two days which we hadn’t planned (got stuck in horrific traffic at German border, rang around and they luckily had room. The manager/owner was very accommodating and we had everything we needed (room for VW bus & Vorzelt). Hiking opportunities right on the doorstep. Beer in the gas station! Perfect weather. Amenities great, cleaned regularly 🙌 Btw it wasn’t loud!! The hotel plays lovely light music til c 8pm, you can hardly hear the cars on the road. Ignore the haters! Yes, trains pass by irregularly but not too loud.

We visited the campsite after a longer break. We used to go to the campsite quite often when traveling through Austria. The campsite was cheap, clean and the proximity to the petrol station was not a problem. The service was pleasant. The gas station door has the ASCI logo. When asked, they said the price is the same. 2 people, car 44e per night. I only caught a glimpse of the campsite receipt for a moment. 8e per person, 8e for the electric car and the municipality fee, I get around 34e. I don't know what the 2x 5e payments were for. Another 2 people would be around 20e extra. On the ACSI card, I was around 25e per night in Italy. I think it was the last time I was here. It looks like Austria will only be a transit point.

The welcome at gas station was nice the guy who served me was very friendly. This site is good for just passing through but is a bit rough around the edges. No water filling and there was only one hookup that was working which wasn't ideal. Is still currently bit of a building site too maybe once all finished will be nicer.
