The Fo'c'sle & Pengwern

Stayed here whilst working a seasonal job in Salcombe Great room with the added bonus of my own conservatory complete with a view over the Batson Creek and a private bathroom with a big bath. Ideally situated a short walk to town but away from the crowds Nice and quiet and a large guest room and lovely sunny terrace Ted and Christine were wonderful hosts

On a fairly steep hill with great views over Salcombe Harbour. Traditional on decor but very clean and well presented.Great breakfast and very friendly hosts.

Good little guest house (only 3 rooms so quiet). Room was very clean with everything you'd expect, traditional style. Bathroom was very small but had a good strong shower. A shelf close over the sink made teeth cleaning a bit of a challenge! Good range of options for breakfast, particularly as it's small, and the owners were very accommodating of other needs eg putting our ice block in the freezer for picnics and buying gluten free sausages. Our daughter had a room which wasn't en suite but she had a private bathroom. She also had the benefit of a small conservatory with seating and a fridge which was really useful. Only downside was the very steep hill when walking up from the town.
