Ferien- und Familienhotel Alpina

This was a last minute booking and what a fantastic surprise! The staff were so friendly even though we were typically British with our German language being so poor. My wife is gluten intolerant and despite the varied set menu for the day not being suitable and us arriving late, i.e. just before the restaurant closed, they still produced her a delicious salad main course and a fruit salad pudding. Myself, they supplied me exactly what I ordered in abundance. The fact that children are so well catered for was incredible - a playroom with toys and magazines for them; a special area in the restaurant for them to get their own cutlery and crockery if they wanted; fun areas throughout - a breath of fresh air in hotel terms 👍 We loved that the menu had a prayer at the top; there were a few very subtle references to their Christian heritage and their generosity and kindness was exceptional.

Staff were OK to a degree but the food is absolutely awful and rooms are basic and outdated. We asked for a different menu as we didn't like anything on the menu and was told point blank no if you don't like the food go to the shop, breakfast was shocking cereal was stale and not worth eating! Very little parking as service bus needs to get through the car park to the bus stop which Is in the middle of the car park so struggle to park anywhere I guess the plus Is there is some play equipment for children but that is all sadly

Very clean place, very friendly people. I would love to come again. Maybe this winter if there will be snow of course. I couldn't find your camera showing the area. If you would be so kind to inform me how to get the Alpina oustside camera. This would be helpful to plan a possible winter visit.
