Patterdale Hotel

Thank you Andy for your wonderful hospitality. The end of January is still a rewarding time of year to see the majestic beauty of the Lake district. And whilst a few establishments are closed or not yet open around mid morning, we were relieved to find the Patterdale Hotel was. Easy and inexpensive parking and welcoming staff on our arrival. We settled in at the front reception bar area for coffee's, lunch and a cheeky wine,what a view!! All other guests, predominantly walkers were friendly and the atmosphere was so relaxing, helped with Andy's mystery music choices. Our lunch was delicious and well priced and all the facilities were very clean. Whilst only a short stay for lunch, it felt a world away from the city. We are booking a weekend in term time from today's experience and highly recommend this quality hotel in the heart of Patterdale.

We Love the Patterdale Hotel, the location is perfect with beautiful views of the fells and the lake… the food is absolutely lovely and wholesome cooking. The staff make it what it is, a fabulous team of friendly, helpful nice people. Special mention to Christian (always keeps us laughing) Andy and Andrea along with all of the others who unfortunately we didn’t catch their names but wonderful team! Lovely hotel with a great breakfast. Rooms are nice cosy and clean. Great location for walking too with Helvellyn, Arnison crag and many more Wainwrights close by. Just 10 minutes drive to the stunning Aira Force waterfall too. The beautiful Ullswater is literally just across the road.
