The Old Inn, Mullion

One night stay here with our dog. Long stay car park really close. Very welcoming and dog friendly. Good pub and lovely meal in the evening Room was really good and breakfast was excellent.

Scampi and chips this week pretty disappointing. Perhaps a mistake to eat early evening as the chips gave the impression of being re-cooked from lunchtime, horribly oil laden and dark in colour. Shame because on previous occasions the chips had been freshly cooked, golden and a delight. Won't be back any time soon.

Traditional pub with lots of nooks, old-style and cosy. Great staff, the young woman who was our waitperson was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the locally sourced fish in batter, it was some of the best fish we have had, the batter wasn't too thick and the fish was silky. Good chunky chips. Puddings were ok, not as good as the fish. Treacle tart seemed like it was homemade, nice pastry but it probably needed more golden syrup to improve it. Dog friendly indoors and out, our dog enjoyed the chicken breast doggy meal! Overall a lovely, authentic pub experience and we would happily go again next time we are in the area.
