We stayed 5 nights and had an absolutely amazing time. Fair warning: your kids won't want to vacation anywhere else after staying here. We skied every morning, swam in the pools / lazy river / water slide in the afternoons, then would go jump on the trampolines and climb the ropes courses in the early evenings. Somewhere in there we managed to eat way too much delicious food. The slopes are truly ski in/out which is priceless when you are hauling three kids to the mountain. We took advantage of the discount to the ski school as well. We stayed in the annex and the apartment was enormous. We could have easily fit another family in there with us. The only downside to the annex was the cold walk over the hotel... Not a big deal except when going to the pool.

We spent 3 days at Feldberger Hof, and we really enjoyed it. We cannot wait to return. What we loved: 1. The location, the hotel is just next to the slopes. 2. However this time we travelled without kids, we are parents and loved the way, that families and children were in focus. We will definitely come back with children one day. 3. Balázs is one of the coolest bartender I met with, he makes super drinks and has a very cool personality, I already miss the chats we had. The gin tasting session is a must-do for every daddies who got tired of their kids fighting 4. We also had some friendly chat with András, who operates the place very efficiently and customer friendly, it's a pity we could not participate in his wine tasting sessions. 5. We loved the wellness/spa area, it was very practical, when the weather was not so great to ski. 6. The rooms were big enough, comfortable and well arranged. What we did not like: Before I list anything negative here, I would like to emphasize, that we are super satisfied, and the overall positive experience highly weighted out the below minor issues. 1. The pre-arrival communication was disappointing. "G.", the guy I was connected with on the Whatsapp support, is so incompetent, I even thought he is an AI bot. I requested him to send me my Hochschwarzwald card before arrival(so I could buy discounted ski tickets for my stay and go straight to ski on the day of arrival), but he sent only template messages, than made stupid excuses. He also replied super slow, we could not resolve this request in 3(!) days. 2. The room was hot, even with the thermostat set to minimum. The mattresses also felt warm. 3. There were an issue with the key-watches, there were only one red left, therefore we got one red/adult and one blue/kid. (The only difference is that the red ones are usable for the alcoholic drink machines) We were okay with this solution, but at checkout a grumpier receptionist did not understand, that we never had two red ones, and wanted to charge me, until his colleague explained the situation (her English was not sufficient). What could go better: - It could be super useful for having ski locker assigned on day of arrival/departure too. On the day of arrival our room was not ready, so we had to change dresses in the ski Keller anyway. Since I already knew the room number, I knew which locker to leave our stuff in, but we could not lock it since we haven't receive the key-watches yet. On the day of departure it was the opposite, we already checked out and had to return the key-watches, so we could not lock our stuff. We were also worried about that a new guest would like to use our locker later, so decided not to leave anything there, but leaving everything in the car, that we had to park behind the building anyway (it was not allowed to leave it in the garage after 2pm) - It could be useful to register car and assign garage level before arrival. Because we did not know which garage to take, neither found free parking spaces at the garage entrances, my wife had to wait outside with the car while I was checking in inside.

Stayed here 3 days alone with 4 y/o. Would like to go back again if traveling alone and for a short time. Positives: Very friendly and kind staff. Warm swimming pool. Facilities generally good and cute interior, perfect for kids. Lots of activities for kids in and outside of the hotel. Reasonably priced if staying as one adult. Two adults would double the price and would be too expensive for the low quality food… Negatives: food was quite bad…survived for 3 days but would not stay longer. Similar quality or worse than Migros restaurant in CH. Was not a big issue bur took quite lots of time getting inside and out of garage. There is no sensor to scan car number plate nor the door did not automatically open. You have to press a button to call the reception to open the gate to go in and pull down a chain hanging from ceiling to open the garage to get out. Note for next time: was very hot in Junior-Suite, facing south-west in September and had to remove all our clothes at night when the highest temperature was only 24.
