Hotel Rugova Camp

Attention: The owner is a scammer in every possible way. I can't talk about the food, but their huts/rooms are a serious joke. The most dirty place i have witnessed in a while - The shower does not work - Power outtage every 30min - and the list can go on... But the actual point is: the owner doesnt give a flying flamingo about it. After us telling him, he just said its our fault to not check the room beforehand properly - so he is basically aware and just doesnt care. He wanted the money straight away tho then, as he was afraid we would leave. Then after giving a 1 star review at Google he started to scream at us, threatened us physically (i quote "...i would be careful, you have no rights at this place here - you are in kosovo"). If anyhow possible, avoid this place.

We stopped here on our Peak of the Balkans hike. The people were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to refill our water bottles and charge our phones. The food portions were huge( we got the traditional platter for 2 people ) , so we had plenty of leftovers to take with us on our hike. We also got a takeaway pizza for dinner which made a great change from instant noodles! Would highly recommend a stop here !

Did not honour agreed price for transfer to reke alleges, then transfer failed to show up completely in morning (7-7.30 so not early), breakfast doesn’t start until 9 so completely useless if you are hiking so the included breakfast is a packed bread roll - not worth it. Room wasn’t ready by 4 despite having a booking and expecting us. Restaurant is surrounded by trout farm with overcrowding - too many fish for space with signs of fish stress. Not hiking friendly, do not stop here unless just for a cold drink as you pass through. Disappointing.
