Thethi-Cold Spring hotel

Cold Spring is a lovely experience that felt very personal. It was the only place in Albania where me and my girlfriend stayed where someone invited you into their home. Rita cooks really great and is very helpful. The atmosphere was super warm. A great place to sleep after a hike. We were well taken care of! The road to the hotel can seem daunting the first time but it is very doable. Just roll down and park, from the valley you can drive to teth in the low part, so no need to ever go back up the same road.

Disappointing Stay – Misleading Description and Rude Staff I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this accommodation was frustrating enough to warrant one. From the moment I arrived, the staff were unwelcoming and downright rude. It felt like I was a burden rather than a guest. To make things worse, I was given a loft to sleep in that was completely different from what was advertised. The listing described modern amenities, comfort, and convenience—but what I got was a bare, uncomfortable space with none of the promised features. No basic amenities, no proper heating or ventilation, and certainly not the cozy stay they try to sell online. When I brought this up with the staff, their response was dismissive and unhelpful. There was no effort to make things right or even acknowledge the inconvenience. It was clear that customer service is not a priority here. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before booking. This place does not deliver what it promises, and you may end up regretting your stay like I did. And I can see all the negative reviews have been recently added and this person seems to be a new different person named Christine, not the same person who got good reviews in the past and kept a good reputation for the property. So please avoid this property.

Rita and her son Konrad are very accommodating hosts. Rita is a good chef and the garden and terrace is comfortable with stunning views. It didn't bother us, but if you're taller than 190 cm the bedframe could be on the short side.
