Cantabria Surf Hostel

The hostel has an excellent location, ideal for exploring the area, and the facilities are new, well-decorated, and very pleasant. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, perfect for those looking for something functional yet tasteful. In my experience, there are a few things that could be improved. The reception isn't in the hostel itself, but rather in the Cantabrian Surf School's premises, which can be confusing if you don't know beforehand or don't read the information carefully (as was my case). I finally found out thanks to other guests, but it would be ideal if this information were communicated more clearly when making the reservation. Upon arrival, the initial greeting was a bit abrupt, with a "What do you want?" which is disconcerting when you arrive without really knowing how everything works. Regarding cleanliness, I have no doubt that it's done, but given the high traffic, perhaps it would be wise to reinforce it, especially in the bathrooms and showers. The showers also have low water pressure, which makes it difficult to rinse off the sand or wash your hair properly after a day at the beach. Even so, the overall experience was positive. The place has a lot of potential, and I think with a few tweaks it could be even better. Ideal if you're looking for something comfortable, well-located, and with a great atmosphere.

Close to the beach and the surf school, cozy and modern. Ideal for a getaway. If you go during peak season, there's limited space in the fridge, but nothing a little Tetris can't fix. Highly recommended.

They give you instructions on how to manage on your own, but then it turns out to be a place with no open space to relax in, something I've never seen in a surf hostel where there's usually a place to sunbathe, stretch out, relax, and leave your wet bikinis and wetsuits. I wouldn't go back; the service is very impersonal, and the place is just okay.
