S'Hostal d'Esporles

Absolutely lovely hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, even allowing us to sit in the closed Restaurant and eat our takeaway pizza and bottle of wine. This place is historic and right on the GR221 hiking route, making it an obvious stopping point. And that is why the place appears to be so expensive €120 per night, a week before Easter. We have stayed better accomodation in Mallorca for more than half the price. Breakfast was delicious. So loved its location, the host and the building but not the price.

Stopped here on our GR221 hike, we have booked this hotel on booking.com, because the hiker's hostel was full. The room we got was in the basement which I did not expect for the price... There was one small window leading to the street, we were seeing people's feet. If this was advertised, we might not have chosen this hotel or maybe the price would have been lower. I don't think it is standard to have a room in the basement. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly but because of this I would not recommend this hotel.

Brilliant hotel - we stayed here after a long day hiking the GR221. The breakfast was exceptional value. Beautiful overall. The room we stayed in did seem as though it may have been used as a medieval torture room as there were ceiling hooks and bars on the windows but it adds character to the building which I like.
