Thank you! We had such a lovely moment at your restaurant after a long cold hike. We were met with smiles and care, and treated so nicely. Excellent coffee and tarts. What a wonderful way to wrap up a long hike. Excellent service, very kind and attentive staff. Truly delicious food! Thanks!

We had a lovely lunch on the terrace overlooking the lac de Bouillouses. The food was excellent with a seasonal menu that focuses on quality local ingredients, including a selection of beer from micro breweries. Overall good value for the money even of you are paying a premium for the location. In a post covid world where quality has declined and portions have gotten smaller almost everywhere, it was good to see that this restaurant still offers good sized portions. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Service was quick and efficient even if it felt a bit rushed due to the amount of people they had to attend to, nevertheless, the servers were all friendly and accessible. The location is gorgeous and it was a privilege to be able to have lunch in this idyllic setting with a herd of wild (?) horses grazing in front of us. With numerous trailheads leaving right from the hotel, we were sorry to discover les Bones Hores on our last day in the area and left with the idea of coming back another time to stay at the hotel for our next trip. Getting there: Those who are up for it can walk up or take the shuttle which runs every 15-30 minutes from 7-19 daily during July and August when private vehicles are not allowed. The woman at the ticket booth who must answer the same questions a thousand times a day was always friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Buses were clean and for those with dogs, muzzled dogs are allowed onboard.

Our stay here was one of the highlights of our hiking trip! We stayed in a "chambre de montagne" - a small room at the top of the hotel intended for hikers etc. With half-board, this was great value and also provided an evening of luxury compared to traditional mountain refuges! We loved the cosy ambiance of the hotel - the lovely wooden furniture, mountain-themed decor and roaring fire. The food and service in the restaurant was wonderful. We had forgotten to let the hotel that we are vegetarian, so we would like to particularly thank the chef for coming up with a vegetarian main course at short notice. The location is beautiful and great for walkers. We enjoyed watching the manager of the hotel gently encourage a mountain cow to leave the hotel's patio 😆 Highly recommend this place - it was a real treat to stay here.
