Villa Majda

We loved staying at the beautiful Villa Majda. The pool was great, the staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

PERFECT & SPECIAL ! Just back from spending 5 nights at this little deluxe Hotel, This is not a very touristy location but it should be ! the location is rural and rustic but this adds to its charm. Its location it perfect for exploring the more touristic locations of Koper, Ljubljana, Bled etc as close to excellent motorway routes. We travelled from Venice airport to here by car in 1.5 hours. The Staff were brilliant and very attentive, with extremely good English spoken (10/10 for hospitality). Andrea really looked after us at breakfast everyday even creating perfect "poached" eggs on request and also some yummy small bites at lunch to snack on. (small gripe) Breakfast really could have done with better selections of Jams, Honey spreads etc and maybe some cereal as it was a little cheese/meat biased which is not always to UK taste. We ate once in the restaurant (Saturday Grill party) and the food was cooked to perfection (beef and fish were perfect). The room we stayed in 2020, was to a VERY HIGH standard, high quality fixtures and fixing and comfortable bed. The toilet area and bath were lovely. The chairs in the lounge area not very comfortable and as we are British as "kettle" in the room would have been ideal but not a huge miss. Air con really worked. The hotel pool and seating area is very good, It is located next to the road but this was not a issue and offers very good beds and shade. Car parking is ample and even has a "fast charger" for electric and hybrid cars. View's around are of olive and vine groves, Beautiful church's and castle and rolling pine covered hills. Communication and service from Tina before and during the stay was excellent. Thanks you for a truly delightful holiday and hope to see you again some day (next time with our dogs ! very dog friendly which is lovely)
