Pil Pil Hostel Bilbao

I strongly advise against staying at this hostel!! If you have any other option, any at all, go there! Not here! 🆗 Let's start with the positive: - The booking was easy, and the staff was friendly. - The location is good and close to the supermarket and city center, bus stop. - There is a small outdoor area in the courtyard. 📛 Now, for the negative aspects: -The facility was terrible, and the atmosphere was awful. -It's too expensive, considering everything is outdated and dirty. -Some people apparently live there permanently and behave as if they are at home, with no respect for travelers. -There is no privacy or quiet, and there are mixed-gender restrooms. -As a woman, you feel unsafe due to the clientele. -You have to go through the common room to reach these toilets and showers. -Many unpleasant people are in the common room, and you feel unsafe and uncomfortable. -People have no respect and are loud in the dorms. -People are outside the hostel smoking and drinking late into the night, and the smell and noise come into the room. 🛏️ 🚿 The facilities are as cheap as they come. - There are no curtains in front of the beds, and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. -You have to change in the showers, but there's little space for toiletries or clothes. -Oh, I forgot to mention, some showers don't even have a lock! Yay! -The showerheads and hoses are old and leaky. -The lockers smell like feet (Unfortunately, the pillows and blankets are stored in there, so they also smell like feet. Delicious! 🤢🦶) -The toilets are dirty, and the flush doesn't work properly. -All in all, this place is really not recommended. This is your final warning!! Turn back! Don't go to Pil Pil Hostel! 🙏

Rhe resevartion was good people so nice who works here but people who stayed here sometimes could be rude. Because lots of people was talking to each orher at 11 p.m in the general public place and it was too noice here. I couldn’t sleep very well. Also, they gave me a blanket that was so nice but there was no cover to blanket so I couldn’t be sure if it was clean or not… But the metro and tram is very close to place. By walking takes only 30 seconds.

It was easy to find and check in was a breeze. Both the Hostel and Room security was excellent. Very clean with sheets, pillow, blanket and locker provided. It was easy walking to Guggenheim and other places, it also had plenty of cafes close by. The friendly man at reception had excellent English which made everything easy. Thank you.
