Old Cable Historic House Seafood Restaurant

Margaret and Alan were the warmest, most incredible hosts during our stay in Waterville. My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at the Old Cable House and could not have been happier with the space, the location and the hospitality we received. Every morning started with a delicious breakfast made by Alan and a wonderful conversation with Margaret about the area and our plans for the day. She provided the best routes and gave us the locals tips and tricks. We cannot wait to go back and cannot recommend staying here enough. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

I booked a dog-friendly room here recently while traveling through on a bank holiday weekend road trip. Could not have been more pleased with our stay. Despite it being the quiet season, we were delighted to find such a lovely place and both slept like babies. Quick walk into town, fantastic walks along the promenade. Met some lovely locals in the Lobster, where I was also allowed to bring the dog which was great as it was still just a bit cold for huddling around outsides with pints. Will most certainly stay here at the Old Cable again when in the area, with or without the doggo!

Fantastic stay while visiting family in the local area. Superstar hosts, lovely bedding, good size triple room with spacious shower/bathroom. Great coming back to from long days at the beach. Would stay again!
