The Edelweiss Guest House

I booked the Sea View Twin Room for a few nights at this charming hotel in Douglas, Isle of Man, and can say that my stay was lovely. The hotel seems to be well over 100 years old and therefore has an incredibly sweet charme. You need to experience it to understand. The staff was very (!) friendly and kind. Especially, considering the fact that they reacted very flexible to a sudden change in my itinerary. I appreciated this greatly. I didnt use the breakfast option, but it was available and at a fair price. Everything was very clean and in great condition. Wifi also worked extraordinarily well! This was unexpected; due to the age of the hotel. Using the lift was an experience itself (positively!). The location, directly at the beach/Promenade was ideal. To top things off, the sea view from my room was the cherry on top. In the end, I can only recommend to consider booking here, so you will understand the special atmosphere the hotel provides and profit from the kindness of the staff. Thanks, Edelweiss!

A fantastic B & B, very welcoming place, staff are delightful. Great view across Douglas Bay from my bedroom. Easy access to bus and tram, and only a short walk down the promenade into the city centre.

I came for a quick stop to this place! All the staff was very friendly! Check in was perfect, price for a night in that location was great! The room for one person was exactly what I needed. Everything was clean! The carpet was a little loose so it was hard to roll around with the chair and the sink was quite small. Security is great, great place!
