The High Nature Centre

We were given a very friendly welcome and shown around. Our campsite was very spacious and we were able to take the car with us. We were able to sit in the warm and dry common room for dinner. The sanitary facilities are good. We also got great tips on the regions, and the landscape around is simply marvellous! All in all, we liked it and enjoyed the quiet place with its nice and friendly people!

We stayed at high nature with our two children age 4&9 last week. It was a long journey from London but worth it as when we arrived we had a very warm welcome from Jessica. The yurt was incredibly spacious and well appointed with little windows (complete with curtains!) and a dressing table. The showers and loos were very clean and no queues. We really enjoyed exploring the local beaches and the 2 min ferry over to salcombe. Kat and her husband Tobdan were so friendly and relaxed and their daughter Tamzin was extremely sweet and enjoyed playing with our kids. We met fun, interesting people at the site and it was overall an amazing experience. We’ll be back. Many thanks for having us. Emma & Al x

A magical place and fantastic stay. The brilliant Cat and Max greeted us on arrival and Max gave us a lovely tour and made sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. Both he and Cat were so open and the kind of inspiring and interesting people you'd hope to go on holiday WITH; would've loved more time to talk and get to know them and learn more about how Cat and her family have worked to create this special sanctuary. So many wonderful spaces on site, inside and out, made it the perfect all weather campsite. We stayed in a gorgeous and unexpectedly spacious yurt which was so cosy and comfortable even in the wind and rain. The polytunnel spaces were brilliant and the one with hammock and swings felt like being in a gorgeous orangery. Loos and showers were very clean. The yurt camp kitchen was brilliantly equipped and just such a calm place with so many windows so you still felt you were among the grasses and flowers when inside. There is actually nothing I can think that could have made the stay better and we will absolutely be returning. The most perfect place for wholesome family time among nature.
