If you’re looking for an adult only hotel where your dog has a real dog holiday and its owners are also pampered go for this hotel. Alpenhotel Tyrol is a very chill hotel, relaxed and with a great breakfast. Very close to the Karwendelbahn to go up the mountain for a hike or go down to the Achensee for a swim.

If you are a young traveller without a dog, you should definitely choose another place to stay but we unfortunately learned it the hard way. You can't do anything there without being in constant contact with the owner, which is quite stressful and limiting. Nevertheless, a very strange setting for the breakfast, when guests have to cut vegetables and cheese themselves. Fine, you are a hotel trying to limit usage of packaging, but you can still make it convenient for the guests by pre-cutting it and not making everyone touching the food all the time, very unhygienic. Balcony of our room included a bathroom window from a neighboring room - so delightful to listen to the sounds coming from there, not! Don't be fooled with the wide-angle photos of the pool, it's literally for one person and you won't be tempted to use it. The last drop would probably be giving away alcohol to the left and right, that's not cool, it's very much concerning! Anyway, if you are a retired person traveling with a dog - look no more, THIS is the place for you!

A really friendly place as well for humans as for dogs. Before booking, I just read about the legendary breakfast, but after a few days stay I can confirm, every detail of the rich selection is prepared and served with great care for quality and overall “guest experience”. Thanks.
