Hotel Mallnitz & Restaurant

Receptionist showed me the garage and said I could put my bike anywhere. Put it near the back where I thought it would be out of the way. 30 seconds later an annoyed looking man appears from a back door and roughly and clumsily moves the bike. Rooms small and dingy. Good location. Decent breakfast.

This place was a really good surprise. We stayed 1 night, 3 ppl and our dog. The room was super cozy, clean, with a nice kitchenette, fresh bed sheets, 2 TVs and a small,but effective fridge. The staff could speak our mother tongue, it was a nice surprise as well ☺️ The breakfast, included in our booking, was very good, fresh, tasty, and a huge variety of everything. Thank you for the kind welcome and for the awesome service.

3 nigts stay in winter period The hosts are saving on heating, and despite complaints, they turned off the heating early in the evening and turned on the radiators late in the morning, which was not enough to be comfortable in the apartment during the winter period when the outside temperature was -5 to -10 degrees. The hosts are ready to argue and insist that everything is fine even though the radiators are completely cold. After a serious discussion and warning that I would request a refund, the heating was turned on, which worked excellently all night (proving that it works properly), unfortunately, only on the last day of our 3-day stay. It is unacceptable for me that, upon the complaint that the room is cold and that I ask for the radiators to be turned on, this is done partially or not at all, and then I have to resort to threats and request a refund to finally meet the basic accommodation conditions, as nothing special was requested except for heating during the winter period. Worse still, the hosts are ready to argue about this, insisting that everything is fine and warm and that the radiators are not open, but they are open. Another detail, they assure me that everything is fine and warm because it's 24°C at their reception, but they have additional heaters there, fan heaters that only heat the reception area, while their radiators are also cold. After that complaint, they removed their heaters, which indicated that they were saving on heating for the entire hotel, while keeping themselves warm with special heaters—shameful. So, unjustified saving in the middle of winter. Sad and miserable. I did not comment on breakfast to the hosts, but for future guests, do not expect a wide selection of high-quality food; the minimum is offered in terms of drinks and meals, just to avoid hunger.
