Sunny Rooms

The hotel is located between a gas station and a busy road. Every car and motorcycle and truck vibrates the room. Like an airport hotel except you are on the runway. There is no escaping - you are, literally, a prisoner here. Forget about noise canceling headphones as the place reverberates with each passing vehicle. As a cyclist I felt trapped. And what’s worse is that the WiFi is awful and there was no hot water. When I went to the owner, downstairs in the cafe to complain, she gaslit me. “There is a big tank…it should be plenty of hot water”. Essentially telling me that it’s not her fault and that I was imagining this issue. So after cycling 50 miles during a hot July day, with stunning views of the Julian Alps, I could not take a shower to wash off sweat and road grime. I would not recommend this place to anyone excepting folks who want to punish an ex-spouse or enemy. It’s that bad. I was unable to sleep and will suffer today on the bike. I would have given it one star but want people to actually read this review. Watch the video and imagine trucks and loud motorcycles passing. You are above the Sunny Rooms sign…

We had a great time here and loved the soca valley! After we missed our bus, our host drove us about 45 minutes to the next city. Everyone was very nice to us and we would definitely come back.

Very nice place! Café is very cute and rooms are clean and well equipped. Staff is lovely!
