Apartments Fon

The apartment was spacious, even though it felt 50 years old (both in terms of furnishings and spatial layout). The bathroom door wouldn't open completely because it would bang against the washing machine. The shower curtain didn't close properly, flooding the bathroom. The sheets had holes in them. We didn't like the overall dated feel of the apartment, nor the fact that upon arrival, when we told the owner who we were and that we had a reservation, she said no (actually, waved...she spoke almost no English). The owner spoke very little English (which made it extremely difficult to communicate). Furthermore, the owner didn't have the change from the tourist tax, so she kept it (just a few cents, but other hoteliers had given it to us for free elsewhere, and the room was even cheaper than this one!). The property doesn't accept credit cards. The tea bags we found in the kitchen were old and even had holes in them (at that point, it's a better idea to throw them away).
