Alpenruhe Wengen - Vintage Design Hotel

Location: it's a small village so everything will be within 10 minutes walking i guess. It's a little bit up the hill. With a balcony towards the village you will have a nice view. Btw. if you give them a call they will pick you up with a little car from the train station which is pretty nice if you have suitcases. Room: personally I like a bit more spacious room but everything is there (closet, safe, coat rack, phone etc.). There is no water cooker but if you ask at the reception you will get one include some coffee and tea bags. Yes, the bathroom is also small but the shower itself is actually really nice! Tip: if you are not from Switserland you should buy a wall adapter at the supermarket (or just bring your own :)) Service: we got this warm welcome by having a train pickup. When we got in the hotel they gave a brief explanation about the hotel. What me surprised in a very good way was the breakfast and service over there. The (local) food was really nice and everything you would wish for. But the thing that i like most was the service. Continuously cleaning up, asking you for drinks (they have some good coffee), how you would like to have your eggs and replenish the foods. And importantly, with a smile :) so thanks to Ülle, Lamia and .. (sorry, forgot the third lady) So yes, denifintely recommend this place!

I’m currently enjoying a glass of wine here, and this place is a real gem. In summer, the terrace is beautiful, with an amazing view over the Lauterbrunnen valley. The hotel also has a small library and a very cozy lobby, which makes the atmosphere warm and relaxing. I also really appreciate how the owners are actively involved in local sports and the community — you can truly feel their passion for the region. It’s a pity they don’t have a ala cart restaurant, otherwise I would definitely come here much more often.✌️

A stunning location within easy walking distance of the ski lift, with a free ski storage right next to the lift. Breakfast is excellent, with high-quality local products. The room is very comfortable and the beds are great. The owners are incredibly welcoming and easy to reach. Picking up luggage from the train station is arranged without any hassle. The perfect ski trip experience in Wengen.
