What a location! We were in room 305 for two nights, which had a balcony you could sit out on with superb views on Puente Nuevo. The hotel and room itself are fine, but could really do with being be updated. Reception was helpful. Access to the rooms is, down to the basement, along a dark corridor, then back up another set of stairs or lift to your room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was great, however other comforts were missing, the room was very bare, very simple furniture, no coffee making facilities, no complimentary water, nothing. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on food.

I am usually an easy-going person and rarely leave negative reviews, but this time I feel it is necessary. I stayed at Hotel Don Miguel in Ronda in January 2026. The location is excellent right beside the famous bridge and facing the canyon. This is likely the main reason many people choose this hotel. However, we were assigned to another building across the street, which was less convenient and did not match the main building’s appeal. When we checked in, we parked briefly in front of the hotel to unload our luggage. Even though several parking spots were empty and no other cars were waiting, the front desk clerk repeatedly asked us to move our vehicle, which felt unnecessary and unfriendly. When we asked for the Wi-Fi password, the staff member seemed impatient and somewhat rude. Later, we visited the hotel restaurant. It was quite dark, and there was an unpleasant smell in the air. When we asked if there was a table with a view of the bridge, one of the servers suddenly shout voice at us for no reason in spanish. We were confused so we decided not to dine there. Overall, the staff gave us the impression that they were disengaged and did not genuinely care about guests. The service felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, which sadly affected our travel experience. Communication in English was also limited. I love Ronda, but I would never choose to stay here again, despite the excellent location.

We stayed in the terrace room with a view of Puente Nuevo and the view was better than we hoped for. The front desk was helpful in booking us a taxi, our general questions about Ronda, and booking us a new room when we decided to extend our stay. It was about a 15 minute walk to the train or bus station, and right in the heart of Ronda. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Both our rooms were clean and generally large compared to our experience in European hotels. The only thing missing for us was a fridge in the room.
