A small mountain resort in Jeseniky right on the Czech-Polish border. They offer pretty much everything one may need for both relaxed or active holidays. I visited in summer, which may be a different experience than winter season. It's quite easy to get up here by a vehicle as there is a mostly single-lane tarmac road in good condition leading through a dense forests for about 6 kms. However, drive slowly and carefully - I have seen someone's car in the ditch (probably trying to avoid a head-on collision). The parking in the hotel area is easy as they have enough paved park spots. And if you arrive on a motorcycle, you can park it under the edge of the Wellness building's roof, which is a nice touch :) The hotel was renovated and maintains the mountain cabin style look and feel, even though there were some mild technical issues when we visited (lights not working in our hallway, so we had to use a flashlight to unlock our door, etc.). There are lots of activities you can do here, including hiking (Dalimil's observatory tower is ~1.5km), biking, wellness, taking a cable car down the hill, and many more. This means the place is very popular over all summer (apparently, they were completely booked out) and even more popular in winter due to the adjacent ski slopes. The wellness was alright (jacuzzi and 2 types of saunas), although definitely overpriced for what you get. Part of the whole resort is also a typical Czech self-serve restaurant, offering the most common meals, beers and drinks for above average prices. Unfortunately, the food is just okay and not much to write home about. However, the beer named after them (Paprsek) is pretty good. As are the breakfasts that are included in the stay. And I really loved the staff. All super kind, funny, very easy to talk to and caring. Paprsek is sooo close to being a perfect mountain retreat, if only they just improved their kitchen and made sure basic things work. But despite that, a great experience.

We had a great stay at the hotel with dinner in the evening and breakfast. The rooms were smaller (we had an apartment style with two rooms in one) but overall clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean, the only thing was that there was no soap/body wash in the shower, which some of us would have appreciated since we were hiking and we weren’t carrying any. Also, the light switch was above the plug, which meant that if you had wet hands and it was dark, you could reach wrong. The dinner was delicious and large portions. The breakfast was good for a Chata hotel, with hot drinks, some warm foods, yogurt and granola and bakery foods. Overall a very nice stay at the hotel.
