Hôtel-Restaurant Le Cigalon

Well what shall I say ? We booked a table for 2 for a special occasion. The experience did not live up to our expectations. Aperitif was not accompanied by any kind of appetizer. Tarte flambée partially carbonized and did not taste that fresh or homemade. Tartare de boeuf didn't taste anything. The sole piece of eatable magret was overprized at 34 Eur. Staff was very friendly. Being locals we cannot recommend this restaurant.

This is only for the restaurant as we didn’t spent the night there. They’re dog friendly which is great and the staff were really polite and accommodating. However the place is a bit unreasonably priced. The soup portion is just tiny and it comes with nothing. The beef tartare was tasty and the flammkuchen was also ok but that’s just it.

Lovely hotel with a a shady terrace and a great restaurant. The room was perfectly comfortable with a balcony but a little dated. The food is first rate,we especially enjoyed the guinea fowl and sandre cooked to perfection and an amazing amuse bouche. The only downside was the noise of the traffic at night. A fan would have been helpful so we could shut the windows to keep the noise out. A great base for hiking. Thoroughly recommend circular walk C5, magical!
