Wasserplatz Pirna

Toilet is a bit far from the campers. One shower room for female with two toilets then a couple shower room is available as well. Kitchen has only one sink so you have to wait...still some more to develop. No wifi as well. But the campsite is good for cycling and water activities

Even with only speaking a little bit of German, the owner Wolfgang was very accommodating. It’s a basic campsite close enough to town and far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the river. The facilities are very clean and proper. This campsite is perfect for people who like the river (and maybe have a boot)

This is a super handy campsite, just 30 min from Dresden and 30 min from Bad Schandau (ish, depending on how you travel- train, cycle, camper). Pirna is a nice town with a pretty old town and some nice places to eat. The campsite has views of the Elbe and is as quiet as town campsite can be. There is some road noise and some train noise, but it's not intrusively noisy and remember this is a campsite on the edge of town, not in the woods. The owners are very friendly and we received a lovley welcome with lots of helpful information about the area and the campsite. The site itself is relaxed and friendly. The showers / toilets and full kitchen are available in the main building and are superb. Do not be put off by the drive up to the site, yes it looks like a work in progress and I think it is, but thats ok. A reasonable price at 28€ per night including electricity (view if Elbe price, which i recommend).
